Jasdeep Singh Gill has been appointed as the new leader of Radha Soami Satsang Beas.

Gurinder Singh Dhillon has appointed 45-year-old Jasdeep Singh Gill as his successor, naming him the patron and ‘Sant Satguru’ of the Radha Soami Satsang Beas Society, effective immediately.

In a major announcement on Monday, the Radha Soami Satsang Beas (RSSB), a spiritual organization based near the Beas River close to Amritsar, revealed that its leader, Gurinder Singh Dhillon, has appointed 45-year-old Jasdeep Singh Gill, a Cambridge PhD in chemical engineering and an IIT Delhi alumnus, as the new patron and ‘Sant Satguru.’ RSSB secretary Devender Kumar Sikri announced: “Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon has appointed Jasdeep Singh Gill, son of Sukhdev Singh Gill, as the patron of the Radha Soami Satsang Beas Society, effective immediately from September 2, 2024.”

Sikri announced that Jasdeep Singh Gill is poised to follow in the footsteps of Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon as the Sant Satguru of the Radha Soami Satsang Beas Society, assuming the duty of granting initiation (naam). He further mentioned that Baba Ji has expressed his desire for Jasdeep Singh Gill to receive the same unwavering support and affection from the ‘sangat’ that he has enjoyed since the time of Huzur Maharaj ji. Baba Ji has requested that this same love and commitment be extended to Jasdeep Singh Gill in his new role as patron and spiritual leader.”
The sect is guided by core spiritual principles shared across many religions, under the leadership of a living spiritual mentor.
Jasdeep Singh Gill resigned from his role as the Chief Strategy Officer and senior management at Cipla Limited, where he served from 2019 until May 31, 2024. He also held positions as a board observer for Ethris and Achira Labs Private Limited, and until March 2024, he was a board member at Wealthy Therapeutics. Previously, he worked at Ranbaxy as the executive assistant to the CEO and served as the president and chairman of Cambridge University Entrepreneurs.
Jasdeep holds a PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Cambridge and a master’s degree in chemical engineering from MIT, earned through an exchange program. He completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biochemical engineering and biotechnology at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
Jasdeep Singh Gill is a prominent figure with a strong academic and professional background. He has a PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Cambridge and a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) under an exchange program. Additionally, he holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biochemical engineering and biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi.
Professionally, Jasdeep Singh Gill has held several significant roles in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. He most recently served as the Chief Strategy Officer and senior management personnel at Cipla Limited from 2019 until May 31, 2024. His experience also includes serving as a board observer for Ethris and Achira Labs Private Limited, as well as being a board member of Wealthy Therapeutics until March 2024.
